When we went to the Lacson Ruins last Jan. 26, I wondered why my friend Dj Jon Tupaz didn’t want his pictures taken with the mansion of the Lacsons or any part of this Bacolod tourist destination behind him. My other friend Martin Porta explained to me that Jon was scared because their colleague, another DJ Arnel Castillo had his picture taken at the Ruins and he saw something that scared the hell out of him and still scares him until now. There was supposedly a lady that appeared in the picture. Yaiiikks!!!
According to the Ruins tour guide , Roger Lucero, Maria Braga – Lacson, a Portugese lady who the sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson met in Macau and married, shows up in the mansion once in a while! Don Mariano built the mansion in 1920, in memory of his wife, Maria who died in an accident while carrying their 11th child. (Goosebumps). During the early part of the World War 2, the US Armed Forces in the Far East had this house burnt to prevent the Japanese from making it their headquarters since it was the largest structure in Negros Occidental during that era.
Anyway, when I finally get the chance to see Dj Arnel, he showed me the picture and indeed with no doubt, there was a white lady at the background of his picture.
We were at Jill’s Bar at the Fort Strip, for the purpose of chilling and hearing some 80’s music, but it ended into a night of spooky, hair-raising night of ghost stories. When he showed me the picture from his laptop, my initial reaction was well just shouting at the top of lungs for 60 seconds. The people at the bar focused their attention on me because of the shouting and jumping drama I did since of course, it obviously scared the hell out of me too with goosebumps all over. Waaaaaahh! The lady looked like the ghost in Kris Aquino ‘s movie Feng Shui!!!!!
According to him, that happened during the Masskara Festival in 2010 when they were invited to play in an event in Bacolod City. On the side trip, the boys decided to take a peak of one of the 12 Best Ruins in the world. He said at first, he really didn’t want to go but eventually he was convinced by DJ Elmer Dado since they were about to eat dinner after the trip. When the group arrived, Arnel got bewildered of the breathtaking site. He became noisy and nonchalant, he went around every spot of the house with all the pictures taken.
During dinner time everybody noticed Arnel acted strangely, he was tranquil and had hardly eaten although he still wasn’t aware of the lady in the picture as it were still in the memory card of the camera. My notion was the spirit of Maria Braga or whoever it was went with him to Balaring in Silay City (were they had dinner )! yyyaaaiiikksss!
After that creepy experience, Arnel said Maria Braga spread luck to him, he said he got more gigs week after week. But that luck went along with anxiety as out of town gigs meant checking in at hotel rooms alone. Leaving the doors open, even the CR doors and shower curtains, disturbing the front desks clerks and reading newspapers in the lobbies were the remedies for his fears and and heavier eye bags were his gains.. Those became sleepless, drunkin out of town gigs!
Anyway, below are the pictures I took from his laptop, one is the actual and the other one zoomed in. Arnel already sent me the original picture from his laptop but to date, I am still in a dilemma to open it because the original really looks scary and I am always alone in the office and in the condo!!! So goodluck everyone!
PS: After some people with paranormal abilities studied the photo, they saw not one but 4 paranormal beings in the original picture especially when converting them to mono mode effect (black and white) Pls see for yourself!
