To the amusement of the residents of Silay City and other nearby cities and municipalities, BBB Foundation President, Alfredo “Albee” Bantug Benitez gave the people of the Third District of Negros Occidental an evening of fun and entertainment. @lbee brought the Philippine All – Star Basketball Team to play against the Philippine Councilors League of Negros Occidental.
The game started at 5:00 and ended almost 8:00. Together with my little Joco, my brother Dennis and niece Princess, we were seated at the bench were the players seat (thru the efforts of Cousin Andre). Anyway, though, it was just so very easy to tell the watchers that @lbee is my relative (hehehe).
Among those who played for the All Star were Christopher de Leon, Phillip Salvador, Joko Diaz, Jordan Herrera, Dennis Padilla and his brother, Jong Hilario, Jestoni Alarcon, Patrick de la Rosa and a lot lot more.
The PCL group was consisting of Victorias Councilors Andre Garcia, Dexter Senida and Audie Malaga, Bacolod Councilor Al Espino, Councilor Yulo of Isabela and the others that I am sorry I did not recognize. Councilor Bombi Miraflores of Manapla was the team’s coach for the game.
Other officials who were there were Silay Mayor Oti Montelibano, and Victorias Vice-Mayor Frederick “Wantan” Palanca.
Aside from the usual basketball game, some of the stars did some comic acts to amuse the wild crowd. Dennis Padilla as a councilor himself even wore the jersey of the PCL and played along with the team for a while.
Once again, @lbee has proven that there is something else for the people of the Third District to give them joy and pride. Just last month, he also brought 80’s Matinee Idol and returning dramatic actor Gabby Concepcion to Victorias for the fiesta of Daan Banwa and to some places in the district. Imagine Gabby in your neighborhood? Only Albee can do that!
So people of the Third District, do you still have of anybody else in mind who can turn your district into place of interest and evolution? These are only a few of the things @lbee brings us the fact that he is still one private citizen just like any of us. Let’s open our minds further of what more can he do given a privilege…maybe more investments, maybe more jobs, maybe better livelihood projects, and more entertainment …the possibilities are endless, di bala taga Third District, why not? With @lbee Benitez, there’s really a lot to look forward to.
